Francesca Battistelli Welcomes the Birth of Her Son

Francesca Battistelli, who received her first GRAMMY Award last month, has given birth to her third child, a son named Isaac James Goodwin. He entered the world on Sunday, March 20 weighing 10 lbs., 9 oz. at 23 inches. Please join her, Matt, her husband and proud dad, and their two other children, Eli (5) and Audrey (3), in welcoming Isaac into their family.
"We are so in love with our big bundle of joy!" Battistelli shares. "We pray that Isaac will be full of laughter as his name suggests. We're so grateful to God for a healthy and safe birth, and we look forward to getting to know our little boy!"
This is more exciting news for Battistelli who is fresh off her GRAMMY Award win for her chart-topping single "Holy Spirit" in the category of "Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song." Battistelli was unable to attend the 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards, held February 15 in Los Angeles, due to the advanced stage of her pregnancy.
"Holy Spirit" is from Battistelli's 2014 album, If We're Honest (Fervent Records), an album that garnered a total of three GRAMMY nominations. Battistelli has a total of four GRAMMY nominations to date.
"Holy Spirit" spent 15 consecutive weeks at No. 1, topped five radio charts simultaneously in 2015 and was her third consecutive No. 1 from If We're Honest, following "Write Your Story" and "He Knows My Name." Her new single "If We're Honest" is currently in the top 10 at radio.
In addition to her GRAMMY win, Battistelli was voted Female Artist of the Year at the 2015 KLOVE Fan Awards and received her first-ever Billboard Music Awards nomination. In May, Battistelli will perform at the Love Song Couples Getaway in the Bahamas.
