"X-Men: Apocalypse": A Mix of Veterans and Amateur Mutants
Xavier's school for the gifted will begin a new semester when the X-Men's next movie installment, "X-Men: Apocalypse" will commence in Spring. After the success of its last movie treat "Days of Future Past", the audiences' expectations are high, especially since Bryan Singer accepted the task of being its director again. In fact, it is expected that this sequel will become X-Men's greatest and most massive production yet.
Together with the extravagant scope of the movie, its cast lineup is predicted to be larger too. Singer has even posted on his Instagram account that the casting had begun, and very soon, the empty seats will be filled out with the next batch of mutants.
For this X-Men installment, people are already aware that the core cast will return and that it'll forward once again to another decade- this time in the 80s. Since the Days of Future Past put together mutants of two generations, numerous people are expecting that younger mutants will now converge with the veterans in fulfilling special missions.
Younger Cyclops, Jean Grey and Storm are rumored to be part of the upcoming movie. Quicksilver will most probably return considering that fans have responded well to his character in the "Days of Future Past." Also, Singer has mentioned that he'll bring back favorite characters such as Nightcrawler and Gambit. Fox also revealed the trouble they had to go through just to cast Channing Tatum as Gambit so fans can really expect that the character will for sure show up in the sequel.
A few new mutants are foreseen to appear also like Cable and Psylocke who were both popular characters in the 1980s X-Men debut. Of the two, Cable is more likely to appear because he's Cyclops' time-travelling son.
Professor Charles Xavier will still be portrayed by James McAvoy, who confirmed that he'll be much older in this next installment. Simon Kinberg explained to him that the details will soon be given out- a message he needed to receive because he's not received the film's rundown or script still.
Other film details included the hint that Nicolas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence's relationship will become one of the film's highlights.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" will be shown in theaters on May 2016.
