Apple has remained silent with the updates of MacMini till now and finally the company has looked into this project. The new Mac Mini will be coming with updated hardware configuration.

The new Mac Mini is packed with strong hardware configuration where the processor will be assisted by Haswell chip. There will be provision of separated graphics card, which features Intel HD 5000 or Iris graphics. The Wi-Fi version will have latest 802.11ac and the Flash storage system will be PCI based as mentioned in the Apple Insider.

There is a news with the hardware that has disappointed  some of its fans. This device will lack the facility of adding extra RAM in the slot as the RAM is soldered at the time of sale. According to Brian Stucki Mac Mini expert the new Mac Mini will not be user accessible for expanding the RAM. So the user will only get one choice to go for 16GB of RAM while purchasing.

Another disappointing news for the fans is that Apple has stopped the provision for build to order Quad-Core update for the processor segment and dual storage drive facility. Firstly, the RAM slot problem and the limitation in the update has raised a storm of mourning minds in the forums.

Apple has restricted the user interference with the device with some certain limitations. The hard drive is also included in the list. According to Strucki, the hard drive is either replaceable or upgradable but the company warranty will be dismissed. The warranty is only void when the hard drive in untouched according to Mashable news.

The Mac Mini models are upgradable to 16GB and that stands for the all previous three Mac Mini. The upgrade will be priced at $300 for the medium models and $200 for the high-end models as stated in CNET.

The latest Mac Mini will come with a price tag of $499 but the price might vary with different hardware specification. The entry level Mac Mini will feature 1.4GHz dual core processor with 4GB of RAM and 500GB of hard disk.

The graphics segment will have Intel HD 5000 chip. The next model will bring 2.6GHz dual core i5 processor with 1TB space, Iris graphics module and 8GB of RAM while the high end Mac Mini will be configured with 18 GB of RAM with 2.8GHz dual core processor and 1TB RAM. The graphics module will have Intel Iris graphics card.
