Latice Crawford and Hen Sapp Join Marvin Sapp on 11-City Tour to Promote Education Reform for Black Students

Marvin Sapp and the Black Alliance For Education Options (BAEO) will be back on the road for their second annual Marvin Sapp School of Choice Tour beginning on February 10 at the Mt. Zion Apostolic Church in Indianapolis. The free 11-city tour will until the end of February and feature musical performances by Sapp and his RCA Inspiration label colleague Latice Crawford. Along with some comedic relief from the Doctor of Comedy, Hen Sapp, Marvin will be sharing inspirational stories from life and talk about how his late wife Dr. Malinda Sapp had the vision and determination to take inner city children from "great to greater."
"I'm extremely excited about partnering with BAEO again and promoting school choice to urban communities," said Marvin Sapp. "As the president and founder of Grand Rapids Ellington Academy of Arts and Technology Charter School (GREAAT), it is my pleasure to lend my talent and support in effort to make parents aware of their options when it comes to public education."
Along with performances, members of the BAEO will meet with major African-American leaders, organization heads and members of clergy to discuss education reform in Black communities.
"The Black Alliance for Educational Options looks forward to joining Pastor Sapp on tour as we utilize the concert platform as a vehicle to inform, inspire, and empower parents to advocate for high-quality educational options in their areas for their children," said BAEO President Kenneth Campbell. "The status quo of failing schools just simply isn't working for our students. We need sustainable proven changes. Our goal is to reach as many parents as possible through this tour."
