Fallout 4: Bethesda Still Mum About Real Status To Date Of Game
The official Fallout 4 news is that, officially, there isn't a Fallout 4 release date just yet. Bethesda Softworks' game director Todd Howard in an interview back in February said, "We don't [have a timeframe for our next game announcement], but I think it's gonna be a while." To the disappointment of fans, there was no Fallout 4 at E3, and Bethesda Vice President Pete Hines, following the event, even tweeted followers to "ignore everything unless it comes from an official source/channel." There is no Bethesda-sanctioned Fallout 4 trailer yet, despite what's being circulated on Youtube and elsewhere.
The one thing that is clear though is that there will be a Fallout 4, eventually. As Hines said back in 2008, "The whole reason we went out and acquired the license and that we now own Fallout is that we clearly intended to make more than one." In fact, Bethesda has late last year already got the name "Fallout 4" for the upcoming game trademarked with the European Union according to an IGN news report. The latest Fallout game, 'Fallout: New Vegas,' was released in 2010, with 'Fallout 3,' being released in 2008. When it does come out, Fallout 4 would be the first title in the Fallout series to potentially be available on a wider range of consoles, including Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC platforms. As with most next-gen video games now or will soon be on the market, the minimum Fallout 4 system requirements would likely include a Windows Windows Vista (SP2) / Windows 7 (SP1) / Windows 8 OS, an Intel Core2 Duo/AMD Athlon 64 X2 @3GHz, Intel Core i5 @2.4GHz processor, about 4GB RAM memory, Direct X 10 and DirectX 10-compliant, 512MB VRAM graphics and DirectX 10-compliant sound, plus, a 20GB hard drive space.
