Barnes & Noble 10-inch Galaxy Tab 4 Nook Announced - Barnes & Noble Team Up with Samsung for the $350 Tablet
If you are looking for a new tablet from a reputable company, you will be interested to learn that the South Korean based company Samsung has a new product in this department to offer to consumers. This is in the form of the Galaxy Tab 4 which is said to be called the "Nook."
According to CNET, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook is a joint effort from the South Korean company and Barnes & Nobles. The mobile device now has an increased screen size, measuring 10.1 inches. For those who have missed the news, the 7-inch Nook was launched in the early part of this year, the first production to be released from both companies.
The 10.1-inch display screen of the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook has a 1280 by 800 pixel resolution, as reported by Laptop Mag. Aside from the usual Samsung apps, the newer and bigger Nook option has also been incorporated with apps from the Barnes & Noble group. In addition, while the tablet is currently being offered at $350, an instant rebate of $50 will be applied after purchase, bringing down its price at $299. To make potential buyers even more interested in investing their money on this latest version of the Tab 4, the e-book seller has also decided to include content costing around $200.
As Green Bot has cited, the $300 price is an introductory offer from Barnes & Nobles. This is said to go up eventually, but we all know that these kinds of statements are just to hype up the crowd of consumers wanting to get a new device. The new Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 can be purchased from both online stores and offline branches of the book seller.
The $200 worth of free content from B & N, according to Green Bot, are said to be comprised of 4 different e-books, as well as a free episode for "The Octonauts," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," and "The Newsroom." Two-week free trials for four different magazine subscriptions are also being thrown in for free.
As for the specs of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook, Laptop Mag reported that the device features a storage capacity of 16 GB, with a weight of 17.28 ounces. For the processor, the tablet makes use of a 1.2-GHz Qualcomm APQ 8026 CPU.
