Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet VS. Xperia Z3 Compact Tablet Features, Specs, Display, Release Date, Hardware and Latest News: A Comprehensive Review and Comparison
Sony flagship gadgets have been pretty regular with its latest releases where the Xperia Z3 Compact Tablet has substituted the Xperia Z2 Tablet. Z2 Tablet was released back in March this year whereas Z3 Compact is expected to release in November. Let's check out the review of this two Sony flagship smartphone.
Sony Z2 Tablet features giant 10.1-inch screen that contains 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution. The pixel density is moderate in a 10.1-inch display with 224 pixels per inch. The display type of the device includes TFT capacitive touchscreen. The latest Sony Z3 Compact Tablet boosts the pixel density sacrificing the screen size. The display screen is 8.0-inches that offers same pixel resolution as Z2 Tablet but with 283 pixels per inch. Both the tablets come with Triluminos display assisted by X-Reality Engine. Shatterproof glass protects the screen but Z3 Compact Tablet features oleo phobic coating, which is missing in the Z2 Tablet.
The camera department has been disappointing for the Z3 Compact, as it does not come up with any update. Both the devices have 8.1MP rear facing camera while the front camera offers 2.2MP photo shooting experience.
Both the devices possess strong hardware configuration that can be differentiated with the processor clock speed update. Xperia Z2 Tablet is packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset that supports Quad-Core 2.3GHz Krait 400 processor while Xperia Z3 Compact Tablet comes with Qualcomm MSM8974AB Snapdragon 801 chipset. The chipset is provided with Quad-Core Krait 400 processor clocked at 2.5GHz. Both the tablet performs sharply with Adreno 330 graphics emulator.
The internal storage allows two variants of Xperia Z2 Tablet with 16/32GB of space. The storage space is expandable to 64GB while this feature is extended to 128GB in Xperia Z3 Compact Tablet. Both the tablets are powered by 3GB of RAM. So heavy-duty performance is what you can expect from both the devices.
The operating system that runs the tablets is Android 4.4.2 KitKat and can be upgraded to Android 5.0(Lollypop) when available. Surprisingly Xperia Z2 Tablet offers greater battery capacity of 6000mAh battery while Xperia Z3 Compact Tablet is downgraded to 4500 mAh battery capacity.
