'Hawaii Five-0': Season 4 Finale Recap
"Hawaii Five-0 Season 4" Finale said aloha to its long-running, major character, Catherine Rollins played by Michelle Borth. The last episode entitled “‘O ka Pili `Ohana ka `Oi” (Hawaiian for “Family Comes First”) was totally full of action and drama.
Five-0 revisited Catherine Rollins’ past, when in the middle of a fun charity poker night, she got a call from Amir, a father from Afghanistan that she met years ago. The flashback showed how Catherine saved Najib, the son of Amir, who was about to get his soccer ball from the risky field full of land mines.
A year later, Amir found Catherine deeply wounded in a field and saved her. The kindness that she showed to his son before has made him decide to sneak Catherine into his wife’s home and treated her wounds.

Going back to the present, when Amir called Catherine to report that his son has been abducted by the Talibans, she never hesitated to help the man out. McGarrett, on the other hand was kind of reluctant at first, but eventually supported Catherine about her crazy idea of helping the father and son.
With the help of Joe White, they were immediately dropped into Afghanistan, where they found Amir full of cuts and breaks in the skin. Although they were successful in saving the young people excluding Najib, Steve has passed out due to grenade blast and was held captive by the Taliban.
However, Steve was immediately saved by his fellow U.S Army and was forced back home by the pissed off military officers.
McGarrett soon received a phone call from Catherine, who was left in Amir’s village to find Najbi, who was taken across the border. Steve wants to help Catherine out, but Catherine herself knew that he can’t. The couple exchanged their “I love yous” and “aloha”, which in this unfortunate predicament means goodbye.
