The Old City Leviathan Trailer, Release Date, Reveals And Latest Updates: A Trailer Of The Old City: Leviathan Has Been Released Giving A Sneak Peek Into The Atmosphere Driven Video Game
We have the latest for you on the trailer, release date, reveals and latest updates of The Old City Leviathan. The Old City: Leviathan is a game created by PostMod Softworks and will follow the footsteps of the previous games in the veritable genre. It is skipping the combat altogether and once again it will opt to charge players headfirst into an atmosphere driven experience. The good news to the players is that a trailer for the game has been released and it has been described by a commenter as "Atmosphere: The Game" and we would not agree more.
According to Game Ranx, PostMod Softworks gives some insight as to how this will affect the gameplay through a short notice in the video description. It read, "The Old City: Leviathan is an experiment in first person exploration that focuses entirely on story." "Everything else is secondary. All that exists is you and the world. Set in a decaying city from a civilization long past, The Old City: Leviathan puts the player in the shoes of a sewer dwelling isolationist. You progress through the narrative by simply exploring the world."
The developers of The Old City: Leviathan are following the idea that gameplay comes first. Having games like The Stanley Parable and Gone Home in mind, this simple yet incredibly diverse universe is set to be 5 hours long and it is only a part of the major story. The more you explore in the game, the more you will know. According to a site by the name God is a Geek, the developer of the game, PostMod has this to say about the game, "Our goal is to create a story that relies on your ability to explore, and in doing so we are exploring new topics in the gaming medium. Beyond this, we want to show that narratives and visuals alone can't make a fantastic experience, and they are not necessarily secondary to elements like gameplay."
"Games can be for whoever and about whatever, and our game is for people willing to discover and about how to exist with differing beliefs." The game is set to be released on 1st December 2014. Are you excited about the upcoming game? Stay with us for more news.
