Upcoming CBS Shows News, Rumors, Reveals and Updates: Scorpion, Madam Secretary, Stalker and Scorpion, NCIS: New Orleans all Debut this Fall
The fall 2014 season is firmly under way with studios and shows competing for numbers. By the end of January 2015 it will be very clear who is staying and who is getting scrapped. CBS on the other hand is rewarding shows that have done well with more episodes. The series that have gotten a pat on the back are Scorpion, NCIS: New Orleans, Madam Secretary and Stalker.
Scorpion is a show about a group of geniuses that are licensed and funded by the government to solve problems. They have a government handler and a former waitress who they met on their first mission who has an autistic genius child. The show opened to 13.83 million viewers and even though the numbers have dropped a little but by the 6th show they were still above 10 million.
Madam Secretary is about a female Secretary of State who is a former CIA analyst. She is chosen by the president to replace the Secretary of state who dies in a plane Crash. Mc. Cord brings her unique flair to the white house that not only impresses POTUS but also impresses the viewers. The show opened to an audience of 14.75 million viewers and by the 6th show it had only dipped to 11.7 million.
Stalker is a show we reviewed here before it aired and we were right to keep an eye on it. Detective Jack Larsen is transferred from the New York City's homicide division to the TAU team in Los Angeles. The unit's duty is to seek out stalkers and assess if they are a danger to their victims. The show opened to an audience of 9.05 million viewers and at the fourth show that had just dropped at to 7.37 million.
NCIS: New Orleans is the latest addition to the NCIS franchise and is doing quite well. The first season just has six episodes under its belt and attracted 17.2 million viewers for its premiere episode dropping slightly to 16.14 by the 4th show.
CBS Entertainment Chairman told Variety Magazine that the shows have had an immediate impact on their schedule. As such they have been given full season orders.
