Love & Hip-hop Atlanta Reveals and Updates: Benzino and Althea Take the Hit for the Reunion Episode Brawl and get Kicked off the Show
For those who are following up on the VH1 show Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, you will be interested know that Benzino and Althea have been booted off the show. Insiders mentioned the two cast members were the scapegoats for the reunion brawl despite the fact Joseline Hernandez is the one who made the first move in the fight. In the end, the producers love Joseline and her ability to draw ratings despite the fact she is quite unapologetic and violent at heart. The interesting thing is that with all of the drama involved, it would logically be Joseline and Stevie J who ought to be removed from the show. I mean, considering the amount of trouble that Joseline herself has caused, she should not still be allowed on the show. However, that is ratings for you. She makes for good television and that is probably the only reason the show runners still have them on the show.
Apparently, Benzino and Althea had a lot planned for the new season. In fact, he and Althea were supposed to get married. That is until the creators went and pulled the plug on them. According to the reports, Benzino and Eaton were booted out from the reality show Wednesday after the on air fight with fellow cast mates Stevie J and fiancée Joseline Hernandez during the "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta Reunion" episode.
Benzino claimed he was not given any reason as to why they were fired and this gave way to a series of furious tweets to the producer. Of course, VH1 and the show's producers are still mum about the firing of the cast members. In his defense, I would say that television and the nature of it is corrupt. That is why there is a bias to protect Joseline and Stevie J even though they are the instigators most of the time. Whatever does not provide ratings is scrapped especially when someone needs to take the fall. In this case, Benzino and Stevie J had to bear the brunt.
