Queen 2014 North American Tour with Adam Lambert on Vocals, See Dates Here (VIDEO)
Adam Lambert made the big announcement that he and Queen would be doing a North American Tour this summer during his guest appearance on "Good Morning America" Thursday morning in New York City's Times Square.
The "American Idol" Season 8 runner-up was joined by original Queen band members Brian May and Roger Taylor to share the news. Lambert shared, "Queen is one of the quintessential rock bands of all time. They've formed music that no one has ever heard before, they've influenced bands for years to come."
"We feel like Adam is one of the few singers that actually can deliver our songs," Roger explains, which Brian emphasizes, "The only singer that can deliver these songs." They first performed together in 2009 on Idol's Season 8 finale, where Lambert sang "We Are the Champions" with the iconic rock band. They joined forces again at the 2011 MTV European Music Awards and rocked three sold-out shows at London's Hammersmith Apollo. Adam and Queen were also applauded for their powerhouse performance at the 2013 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.
The North American Tour kicks off June 19, in Chicago, and they are scheduled to hit major cities including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Toronto, and New York. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 14 via Live Nation. Would you go to this concert this summer? Check out the tour dates below:
