Casey J Tops Billboard Chart For A 6th Week
New Gospel artist Casey J has topped the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart for the sixth non-consecutive week with her #1 radio smash "Fill Me Up." The soul-stirring worship anthem anchors the Atlanta native's forthcoming debut album "The Truth" (Marquis Boone Enterprises/Tyscot Records) that releases April 21, 2015.
It's been an exciting season for the 28-year old rising star that balances a charter school teaching schedule with a hectic promotional itinerary for her budding musical career. This past weekend, Casey J did two concerts with Fred Hammond at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh on Saturday and then three church services the next day. Last weekend, she performed at Radio One's Be Beautiful Expo in Philadelphia on Saturday and then headed to New York Sunday morning for two church services in Harlem before ending the day with a television taping with Donnie McClurkin.
