Christian HipHop Artist SeQuenT Releases "3"

Christian HipHop artist SeQuenT has been hard at work in the studio prepping the release of his sophomore full-length CD, 3, which is now impacting retail from C.O. Nada Music Group and Central South Distribution.
"Imagine being free from opinions and expectations, knowing who you are and being fully satisfied with that," SeQuenT muses about his new project. "This is 3--to know that you are complete in Jesus, that you are free to fall in love with Him and pursue the purpose He has destined for you in an artistic, transparent, and intimate way. Again this is 3--not to say that we won't make mistakes, but in His mercy we get to grow in and with Jesus. This is 3--the rebirth, the release, and the resurrection."
The 12-track project kicks off, appropriately enough, with the title track, an infectious, high energy HipHop explanation of the nature of Diety, and ends with "Name Up," an equally impassioned declaration of purpose. "Can I be honest? I'm through talking about freedom/ I want to live a life in love with Jesus," SeQuenT proclaims. Between those two bookends, SeQuenT reveals both his burden for the believer and his passion for the lost.
Merging dancehall and HipHop on "Back," SeQuenT declares the obvious--after more than half a decade removed from his debut full-length project, he's back and better than ever! The tune segues into "Release," a smooth yet jivey celebration of freedom to live life to the fullest. "Battle" cranks up the intensity, if that's possible. SeQuenT's "Let It Go" has nothing to do with a frozen landscape, but it does focus on the desolation of the soul that is inherent in an unforgiving attitude. "I've been guilty of a selfish kind of love/ Although I never known what it was/ I know, I know that I hurt you/ Now I'm just trying to let it go."
SeQuenT explores a plethora of theological concepts ranging from divine sovereignty on the HipHop anthem, "Plans," to the Great Commission on "On Top," to our position of righteousness in Christ in "Perfect." "Deep" is a peace-evoking rhyme that draws on imagery from the 23rd Psalm. The surprising, acoustic piano-driven "Human" celebrates the beauty of being human, with all of our common failings. "We all fall down," he cries out. "We all fall short/ We're human/ We make mistakes." But he answers that call with the triumphant declaration, "If I should fall, you'll pick me up/ Mend every scar, and call me your friend."
"My goal is to penetrate the heart of every person who comes in contact with my music by lyrically sharing the love, hope and empowerment found only in a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ," SeQuenT says of his music and ministry.
SeQuenT has released a video of "Plans," the debut single from the CD (https://youtu.be/bcaNlWCsyLg). For more information about SeQuenT and 3, and the "Plans" video, visit sequentmusic.com.
