Ronnie Milsap Discharged From Georgia Hospital

Country music veteran Ronnie Milsap was hospitalized Friday night before a concert in Georgia. According to his Facebook entry, he was hospitalized due to "nausea due to medication and dehydration."
Recently, Milsap released "Gospel Greats" where he put his signature chops on the great hymns of the church, such as "Up to Zion," "How Great Thou Art," and "Holy, Holy, Holy." Milsap, 73, is a six-time Grammy winner who released a string of hits in the 1970s and 80s, including "Smoky Mountain Rain," "I Wouldn't Have Missed It for the World," "Daydreams About Night Things" and "Please Don't Tell Me How the Story Ends." His R&B-tinged country-pop made him one of the most successful crossover artists in country music: he's sold more than 35 million albums since the 1971 release of his eponymous debut record.
The singer has been discharged and was on his way to an evening performance at the Saddle Up for St. Jude benefit concert in Tuscumbia, Ala., according to the event's Facebook page.
