Jekalyn Carr Garners her First Two Billboard No. 1’s for THE LIFE PROJECT

Stellar Award winner and 19 - Year old powerhouse vocalist Jekalyn Carr garners her first two Billboard Magazine No. 1's for her live third project THE LIFE PROJECT (Lunjeal Music Group) and her bonafide hit single "You're Bigger" for Top Digital Gospel Song (digital downloads). Released on August 5th the project also debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Combined Christian/Gospel Digital Albums chart within 1 hour of its release.
In addition to Carr's No. 1's she also debuted at No. 6 on Billboard's Magazine's Combined Christian/Gospel Top Gospel Albums chart and the Christian/Gospel Digital Albums chart, No. 14 on The Independent Albums Chart (all genres) and No. 108 on the Top Albums chart (all genres).
Carr's leading radio single "You're Bigger" continues to dominate the radio charts spending its 8th consecutive week at No. 2 on Billboard Magazine's Gospel Airplay chart with a +137 spin increase this week. This powerful and prophetic ballad continues to capture the hearts of Gospel listeners around the world with a weekly listening audience of 3.3 million ears.

You can catch an upcoming performance from Carr at the Black Music Honors event this Thursday, August 18th at 7pm in Nashville at the TPAC hosted by Malcom - Jamal Warner and Ledisi. Carr has been tapped to honor the legendary Pastor Shirley Casear in a tribute performance taped for national television. Other honorees include Dionne Warwick, Big Daddy Kane, Clarence Avant and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Tribute performers include Andra Day, Mint Condition's Stokley Williams, Tina Campbell (Mary Mary) and Ann Nesby among others.
