Travel Delays & Visa Restrictions Can't Stop Sherwin Gardner from Entering Billboard Top 20

Although, he's been traveling and performing in the USA for almost two decades, Trinidad & Tobago-based worship leader Sherwin Gardner has - since last September - run into a variety of U.S. visa issues that have prevented him from returning to the U.S.A. to promote his new album, "Greater" (Flow Masters /Tyscot), which releases globally this Friday, May 26th. However, all of those issues were settled last week and Gardner is now back on U.S. soil to promote his project and its soul-stirring radio single "Because of You" which cracks the Billboard Top 20 Gospel Airplay chart this week at No. 18.
The fifteen-track "Greater" album was recorded live at SJPC House of Restoration Ministries (where he serves as the worship leader) in St. John, Antigua before a wildly enthusiastic audience. It also features three studio tracks, including the rousing "Praises Never Stop" that features a vocal assist from Deitrick Haddon. The title song is another powerful anthem that boasts a hearty cameo from Todd Dulaney on the reprise.
Over the last two decades, the 7x Marlin Award (Trinidad & Tobago's equivalent to the Stellar Gospel Music Award) winner has built an extraordinary presence throughout the world with uplifting and festive reggae, dancehall and soca-styled gospel music. He has fifteen albums to his credit and is known for signature songs such as "I Worship You," "God's Design" and "You." The Eastern-influenced, "He Died For Me (Hamalhamadla)," spent a staggering 21 weeks at No. 1 on the Caribbean gospel music chart in 2004. Since then, Gardner has consistently made enjoyable music and is preparing for the world to experience the "Greater" album. The BET Gospel cable channel has the "Because of You" concept music video in heavy rotation and he will be touring throughout the USA and Europe this summer in support of the project.
