Noel Robinson Releases New Worship Album "I Surrender"

UK's worship leader Noel Robinson returns with his new Integrity Music album I Surrender. It's an album inspired by modern-day awakening - something Noel believes will come to those who are courageous in their pursuit of God and alignment with His will.
"I wanted to sing about surrendering my will, purpose and desires," says Noel. "It's a hard place to be and a hard thing to do because it's natural for us to want to be in control, but a church that's surrendered to God fulfils its purpose. A life is fulfilled by surrendering to God."
This studio recorded album features 11 new worship anthems, including the lead singles 'Grace Alive' and 'Build My Life.' For Noel, 'I Surrender' is a deeply personal collection of songs, written during a season of challenge and unexpected difficulty.
"When I began writing I wanted to pull the authenticity of who I was and bring (my experiences) into the songs - it's a journey," explains Noel about the process behind creating the album. "I've not written as someone talking about it... I'm talking from it. I'm on the other side of some of these songs, and for others I realise I've not arrived there yet. Even though I've written them, I've not arrived there yet. The songs have been sent out in this season for tomorrow."
An accomplished guitarist, Noel's journey in music began at an early age. At 13 he was playing double bass for his school orchestra, leading him to enrol in competitions where has was both recognised for his talent and given the opportunity for travel. Later, Noel turned his attention to jazz improvisation and composition.
Noel's early experiences within the Pentecostal church movement are evident in his music as he effortlessly fuses contemporary worship with gospel influences. The results are quite unique - a worshipful expression embraced by believers from a myriad of ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
Noel Robinson is the author of the popular church anthem, 'Rain' which first appeared almost a decade ago. This modern hymn has recently been reinvented by Taxan worship group, Leeland, who feature the song on their new live album, 'Better Word' (Integrity Music).
Forever driven to communicate and further faith in Jesus, Noel has over the years partnered with many of Christianity's most prolific ministries ranging from Spring Harvest, Reinhard Bonnke & Christ for All Nations, Baptist Assembly, and the Elim network of churches, as well as a stint with BBC's Songs of Praise. An award-winning artist, Noel's own movement, Renewal Worship Encounters, recently celebrate a milestone 10 years.
'I Surrender' takes worshippers on a new musical journey, which Noel hopes will inspire the global church to surrender again to God's love and purpose so that we might all see a fresh spirit of awakening sweep through out local communities.
"I'm not the greatest of swimmers and in swimming class they said to me, the only way you'll conquer the water is if you surrender to it," reflects Noel, unpacking more of the inspiration behind the project. "The moment I began to let go of fear the power of the water began to carry me. And I think about our surrender to the power of the Holy Spirit... there are some battles we don't have to fight - he's our defence and he carries us. We won't burn in the fire."
The new album from Noel Robinson 'I Surrender' is available now from Integrity Music Direct and digital music retailers.
