"American Idol" Alum & Christian Music Artist Chris Sligh Has COVID-19

"American Idol" Top 10 finalist and Christian music artist Chris Sligh has revealed via Instagram that he has COVID-10. Sligh posted a picture of himself appearing unwell in a medical facility, with the caption, "My world right now. Covid suuuuucks."
His condition hasn't improved. "I'll try to reach out to as many people as I can individually, but publicly let me say thank you for the prayers & kind words," he writes in a new Instagram post.
"I have Covid that has devolved into pneumonia. Breathing without pain or coughing is difficult & I didn't get much sleep last night, but hopefully the antibiotics do their work fast."
Sligh became a household name following his successful appearance on Season Six of "American Idol." After making his way to the Top 10 of the popular talent search, Sligh released "Running Back to You", with its single "Empty Me" peaking at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot Christian Songs chart in 2008. Three more releases followed between 2009 and 2012: "Christmas EP", "The Anatomy of Broken", and "For Our God and King." In 2013, Sligh released "This Is Life", a 37-song, three-album collection of new music.
