Ethan Kent Celebrates Expectancy of Child with New Single "Heartbeat" (Video)

Gospel music's Ethan Kent and his wife Audrey are celebrating the expectancy the birth of their first child by releasing a new single "Heartbeat." "Heartbeat" is a lullaby ballad that is currently available from iTunes.com or EthanKentOnline.com. A portion of the proceeds from the digital download sales of "Heartbeat" will be donated to Pre-Born Friends (The Woman's Choice Resource Center), a non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping women in crisis while remaining advocates for the pre-born child.
Earlier in the year, Ethan Kent had just released his critically acclaimed album "WORK IN PROGRESS." The album charted at #21 on Billboard Top Current Gospel Albums Chart. And it has produced three chart topping Gospel radio singles - "My Hope Is In Glory", "Bring Us To Our Knees" and "The Name of The Lord".
This is what Ethan has to say about the genesis of the song: "So, it was Father's Day, June 15th when my wife Audrey first broke the news that we would be expecting. I had just finished ministering the 4th service at the amazing New Life Covenant in Chicago with Pastor John Hannah as the special musical guest for the day. I was sitting in the artist green room, tired, sweaty, and had a headache. Then I heard Audrey say, "Well, Happy Father's Day, I'm pregnant!". I was excited, but my brain spent the rest of the day ON TEN!"
"Audrey informed me that she wanted me to write a special song for the big announcement, and release it after we confirmed everything with the doctor. After all, I wrote a song for our engagement. She thought it made sense to keep the consistency within our story going. So we made it home safely and I went to work on what has come to be known as "Heartbeat". The music came first, and lyrics flowed shortly after. (S/O to my friend Jamall Houston who helped me pen this tune). My mother was a big inspiration behind this song. She worked hard as single-parent and is the epitome of what true love and sacrifice is all about."
