Kathy Troccoli Celebrates Her 40th Year in Ministry with "Blackbird"

Multiple Dove Award winner and Grammy nominee Kathy Troccoli is celebrating her 40th year in the music industry with the release of her cover of the Beatles' "Blackbird." For Troccoli, "Blackbird" is a song that captures God's faithfulness in her life and ministry.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise
Troccoli reflects, "Little did I know that the Lord would allow me to be placed into the national spotlight in 1982. I had just become a Christian. An Italian New York girl in Nashville, TN...traveling all over-singing to every church denomination, as a new believer. I was a baby and barely crawling as I grew in my faith. Everything was strangely unfamiliar-and it was a learning process.
Did I mean what I was singing and saying?
Did I love Him?
Oh, yes.
But, I was 22-and light years from what the Lord would do in my person and my heart.
God will use our gifts. He always does.
Although, I've often said, our gifts can be intact but we could be a mess."
Over the last 40 years, Troccoli has had released 24 recordings & 18 number-one radio hits. She has also received 19 Dove Award nominations, 2 Dove Awards, and 3 Grammy nominations. In addition to her success in Christian music she has made quite an impact in the mainstream arena as well, scoring a top charting hit with "Everything Changes" as well as a top 10 single with the iconic Beach Boys, entitled "I Can Hear Music." She's just as comfortable singing her heart out in a stadium alongside Billy Graham to Pope John Paul-as she is belting out a big band tune or crooning her velvet voice on a jazz standard at the iconic Metropolitan Room in New York City.
Troccoli is also a songwriter, speaker, author and host. From serving on the mission fields of Africa, China, India and Central America, to performing before millions-to hosting 20 years of rejuvenating and relaxing cruises,
