Chris Davenport Teams Up with Cody Carnes and Brandon Lake for His Debut Single

GRAMMY® nominated songwriter Chris Davenport has released his own debut single "Plead The Blood." The song which speaks of how the blood of Christ protects us finds Davenport sharing vocals with Cody Carnes and Brandon Lake, He also wrote the song with Carnes and Lake along with Pat Barrett and Alexander Pappas.
"When we wrote 'Plead The Blood,' we imagined a song that could serve as a spiritual applicator for Christians everywhere, a song that confesses the blood of Jesus over every area and circumstance in our lives," Davenport explains. "So wherever you hear it, my prayer is that it reminds you of the most powerful defense, the most assured claim that you can wield - the blood of Jesus."
Chris Davenport has been a quiet, yet mighty fixture within the worship community for years, co-writing many of the genre's biggest songs, including Phil Wickham's "Hymn Of Heaven," "Too Good To Not Believe" by Brandon Lake, and Cody Carnes' "Be Glad." He also contributed to Hillsong Worship and UNITED songs "Another In The Fire," "Grace To Grace," and "Seasons."
Established as a unique, authentic, influential voice and writer, it's now time for Davenport to release his own music. His debut album, Time, is set to release June 30th and will include "Plead The Blood." The album's pre-order campaign is on now - click HERE to find out more.
