What We Know About Julie Elias' Upcoming New Album "The Dreamer"
Singer and songwriter Julie Elias returns on April 21 with her new 16-track album The Dreamer. On the 16 song project, come with her on a journey of identity, liberty and faith. We call all relate to disappointment but we need to encourage each other to persevere; to seek God in the good and the bad while striving to understand His purpose for us.
"Things can change in an instant. I am grateful to be here in this moment, but I don't know how long it will last. I want to live my best life and to love people; I want to find joy and to serve God with whatever time I have here on earth. And I hope this song and this album inspires you to do the same. I want you to know, if you're reading this, God is not done with the dreamer YOU'VE become. Don't be ashamed to wander; wish upon a star; cling to hope...and let's dream together."
The record is preceded by the single and title track "The Dreamer." Based on Jeremiah 29:11, Elias hopes the single will inspire listeners to find joy and serve God while living their best life and loving others.
"I want you to know, if you're reading this, God is not done with the dreamer you've become," Elias shares. "Don't be ashamed to wander; wish upon a star; cling to hope...and let's dream together."
"The Dreamer" is Elias' first single since she released "Wherever You Roam," which topped the CRC Weekly chart at No. 1, ranked No. 3 at CRC Monthly and No. 9 at CRC Quarterly. During her career, Elias has had numerous singles top the CRC charts, including "Forgive Me," which debuted at No. 1 on CRC Weekly.
Elias, who has released five studio albums, including a Christmas EP, also has formed Aurora Ministries, a 501(c)(3) organization, that presents day-long events throughout the nation blending drama, music and special speakers especially for girls in grades 6-12 and their mothers.
The musician, who counts Sara Bareilles, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Francesca Battistelli among her influences, tours regularly in support of her music and ministry.
