Learn How to Write a Worship Song with Matt Maher

Nine-time-GRAMMY® nominee, JUNO award winning and three-time-GMA Dove Award® singer and songwriter Matt Maher is offering a songwriting class for all songwriters. Learn everything you need to write a meaningful worship song. In this class, Maher takes you into his studio and teaches you his complete songwriting process, helping you fall in love with the wonder of a song.
Maher writes, "Two years ago, in the middle of the pandemic, I enrolled in a 30 day class with Ryan Tedder thru Studio at the time it was called "monthly") - I was starting a new year and wanted something to push me and challenge me to grow beyond what I knew. I dove in and became a student again, and was reminded - we're all students. You never stop learning. You never stop growing. It was a fantastic resource and launchpad for my own creativity. I had no idea that two years later, the folks at Studio would reach out and ask me if I would teach my own class on Songwriting - which I was scared to death of doing, but I thought "well, there's no faith without risk"......so why not?"
In this class, Matt Maher teaches you everything he knows about writing a worship song. During class, Matt brings you into his studio and shares with you his entire songwriting process from start to finish. You'll follow along with Matt as he writes and records a brand new song completely from scratch, starting from how he finds his initial idea and connects it to a hymn from the past, all the way through refining lyric, adding production elements, and finalizing the demo.
Along the way, Matt explains everything that he's doing and thinking in detail - every idea, decision, tool, and technique. By the end of class, you'll know everything you need to write worship songs of your very own.
