AJ Evans Set to Pick Up a Kindred Award and Receives a Stellar Award Nomination

Rising Gospel music artist Alphonso Evans, Jr. (AJ Evans) is scheduled to pick up a win at the Kindred Awards and he is also celebrating his nomination at the Stellar Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 15th. Evans is also setting his sights on pursuing a college education at the prestigious Howard University in Washington, DC.
"Winning at the Kindred Awards was a great honor; and the Stellar Award nomination is really huge for me", says AJ.
"For years, I watched the awards on television with my family and never thought I would ever receive a nomination. I am grateful to my parents, who do a great job encouraging me to use my ability to write songs and sing for God's glory.
"My parents are known for four things, they love God, family, value education and music. I am also grateful for a pastor who also encourages young people, Dr. Alyn E. Waller as well as EMG Vice President Dr. Garland Miche Waller who gave the music in my heart wings to soar".
AJ Evans made his stunning debut into Gospel music with the release of his breakout single, "Hooked." A heartfelt expression of faith and adoration to Jesus, the song opened the doors for AJ to share his gifts with the world. Hooked was followed by the release of his debut EP, Not 2 Young. Not 2 Young is nominated in the Youth Project of the Year category at the 38th Annual Stellar Awards.
The Stellar Awards returns to The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 15, 2023, and is scheduled to premiere on the newly-launched Stellar Network between July 24 and August 6, 2023.
