DUMB AND DUMBER TO Movie Spoilers, Release Date, Teasers, Cast News, And More!
Dumb and Dumber To, the slapstick road-buddy comedy film co-written and co-directed by Bobby and Peter Farrelly, is set to be released to US theaters on November 14, 2014. The sequel to the 1994 surprise hit will see Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels returning to reprise their original roles as Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne, respectively, in the first film.
Set twenty years after their last adventure, Dumb and Dumber To will follow the two dimwitted best friends back on another long road trip away from their home in Providence, Rhode Island. Harry just learns he is father to a twenty-year old girl he never knew he had. He also learns she has kidney problems and wants to ask her dad for one of his kidneys. Naturally, the two good friends set off to find her. Along the way, Lloyd falls madly in love again.
Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels will be supported in Dumb and Dumber To by an able cast which include Laurie Holden as the main villain Adele Pichlow, Kathleen Turner, Jennifer Lawrence, Braddy Bluhm. Steve Tom, Rachel Melvin, and Rob Riggle, along with a cat named Butthole.
The original Dumb and Dumber movie was a box office success and developed a cult following. It spawned an animated TV series and a prequel, Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd. In the first film, the mentally challenged pair went on a road trip to Aspen, Colorado, to return a briefcase full of money to its owner, Mary (played by Lauren Holly), a lady Lloyd instantly fell in love with.
