Chase Lovelace of Superchick passed away; memorial service honoring his life scheduled for May 11
On Friday, May 3, Chase Lovelace a drummer of the rock band Superchick passed away after a battle with a rare form of cancer.
Chase Damon Lovelace was born in St. Louis, MO, and was raised in Olathe, KS. Lovelace was interested in music from very young age and was a professional drummer for three bands including Stars go dim, Pillar and Superchick.
In summer of 2012, Lovelace was diagnosed with Stage 4, bile duct cancer and was treated in Tulsa. When he was diagnosed with cancer a website https://chaselovelace.org was created for fans to support Lovelace with words of encouragement as well as financially. The posting from May 3rd reads that the Lord has called Chase home.
The same day, Superchick band announced on their official Facebook page, “Heartbroken to have to tell you all that our dear friend and bandmate Chase passed away today. We are so proud of him for fighting so hard and so long, and although we're happy that he's no longer in pain, we will miss him so much.”
Chase Lovelace memorial service will be held May 11 at 12:00 noon. This celebration of life will be “Chase Style” meaning casual attire preferably jeans and t-shirt or casual shirt. More information about Lovelace memorial service can be found at https://chaselovelace.org.
