Anchor Hymns, Featuring Sandra McCracken and Sarah Kroger, to Release "The Garden"

Anchor Hymns presents "The Garden," the collective's new single announcing an upcoming album. Recorded live at Covenant Presbyterian in Nashville, TN, in the very place where tragedy ripped the community apart a year prior, this project offers hope in the heartbreak and points to the dawn of resurrection despite the void of loss.
Listen to the song HERE.
"The Garden" is a song for grief without dwelling in sadness. It's an ode to what walking with God through tragedy is like and reflects on Christ's time in the Garden of Gethsemane - the in-between where death and resurrection were both a reality.
Led by Sandra McCracken and Sarah Kroger, the single is atmospheric and spacious, inviting listeners to experience Jesus' love through lyrics that weave imagery from Eden and Gethsemane together.
"We considered the various images of a garden in the Bible and noticed some rich and poetic parallels. I find this [song] to be deeply contemplative," McCracken explained.
Since its inception, Anchor Hymns has sought to create space for suffering and celebration alike. The collective's founder, Andrew Osenga, noted, "We mourn, but we rejoice. We doubt, but we believe," a sentiment encapsulated in "The Garden."
