Joseph Habedank Returns with "Running to Me"

Acclaimed Dove Award-winning and GRAMMY® nominated artist Joseph Habedank is stepping into a summer sonic hat tip to the 1980s of his youth with his upcoming single, "Running to Me," set to release on June 27 on Daywind Records. A bold blend of heartfelt worship and '80s-inspired pop production, the track marks a creative leap for the seasoned singer-songwriter and promises to be one of the standout anthems of the summer. This release helps kick off Habedank's 28-city Summer Nights tour. LISTEN HERE.
Written by Habedank alongside hitmakers Chuck Butler and Tony Wood, "Running to Me," resonates with a message of unwavering love and spiritual homecoming, wrapped in an uplifting, synth-infused sound. It's a song born from rest, reflection, and the unexpected.
"I feel like this song is the anthem of summer," shares Habedank. "I started writing it while I was on vacation in Florida a few months ago. It felt different than anything I'd written before, so I brought the idea home to Chuck Butler and Tony Wood to help me finish it."
When Chuck started building the track, it organically turned into this amazing 80's sound. I was born in that era and my dad introduced me to that sound as a kid, so I've always loved it. I hope this song takes people back, but more importantly, reminds them of how much the Father loves His kids," he continues.
"Running to Me" isn't just a stylistic shift for Habedank, it's a spiritual invitation. With lyrics that remind listeners that God is never far and always pursuing, the song taps into themes of redemption, unconditional love, and finding your way back to where you belong.
