Katy Nichole Releases New Music Video for "Learning How To Love Myself"

RIAA Platinum®-selling, Dove Award-winning Katy Nichole releases her "Learning How To Love Myself" music video. The new song is featured on her highly anticipated, Centricity Music sophomore album, Honest Conversations, which is set to release Aug. 15 and is available to pre-order/save/add now through https://katynichole.lnk.to/HonestConversations. The 12-song album also includes the title track; lead single and Top 5 Billboard hit, "When I Fall;" and recently released "Thorns."
Nichole's Honest Conversations was produced by GRAMMY-nominated Jeff Pardo and follows three back-to-back No. 1 hits at radio with singles from her record-breaking debut album, Jesus Changed My Life. Largely inspired by Nichole's conversations with God, the new album reflects her unabashed honesty and impeccable artistry that has made this 24-year-old one of Christian music's fastest-rising talents.
Katy shares about the song:
When I think about 15 year old me, I think of a girl who had lots of insecurities. I would look in the mirror, pick out everything that I thought was "wrong" with me and honestly just tear myself apart. I had such a hard time seeing myself as beautiful. I had so many things that I thought I needed to change - I thought that I wouldn't be good enough the way I was. But over the years, I've started to realize that when God was creating me, He already knew every little detail. He took time to perfectly craft the things that make me who I am. He even knew all of the things I wouldn't like about myself. He created me with such intentionality. From the way that my nose is shaped to the way that I laugh, God chose to create me like that.
At 24 I'm starting to see that the things that I call imperfections, the Lord calls beautiful. Yes, I am still figuring things out and learning how to love different parts of myself but I'm a long way from where I was at 15. I wish I could tell that girl how beautiful she is and how the things that matter at 15 won't matter as much at 24. I still have insecurities and I always will, but I'm learning how to love myself.
I hope that when you listen to this song that you are reminded that it's okay if you're still learning to love different parts of who you are. I hope that you start seeing yourself from a whole new perspective and are reminded that who you are, is who you're meant to be.
