Trisha Yearwood Releasing New Album PrizeFighter,' Begins New Season of ‘Trisha's Southern Kitchen'
Grammy winning country singer Trisha Yearwood announces she will be releasing a new album aptly titled,"PrizeFighter." She last released an album back in 2007 with "Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love.."
The singer has been busy with a whole lot of other things, including hosting her culinary series, "Trisha's Southern Kitchen" on the Food Network that is also set to begin its new season. She even won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Culinary Program. There's also her next cookbook to be out next spring. The singer is also now an author, after having released three successful cookbooks; which earned her the title of a two-time New York Times Best-selling author.
The upcoming release of "PrizeFighter"through Sony Music Nashville will also coincide with a comeback tour with her husband Garth Brooks that the couple dubbed as the "freak show," to start Sept. 4 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont near Chicago and will be followed with shows at Atlanta's Philips Arena by Sept. 19. But she won't be leaving her cooking show behind, as she will be taping on the road for the show's fifth season.
Despite juggling her schedule with the upcoming album, the comeback tour, her Food Network show, third cookbook and launching cookware and cutlery lines; she says that music is her priority among other things. She adds she's been planning to relaunch her music career, but had to set it aside when her mother was diagnosed with cancer.
The album will include a hits package and six new songs. She reveals that the album title came from a track that she finds so inspiring. The song is about motivation, of winning against odds and fighting for what you really want.
Yearwood started her career in 1991 with her self-titled debut album, and has since sold more than 15 million albums, won three Grammy Awards and 19 top 10 singles.
