Meek Mill Album Release Date and News: Rapper to Release Album While Still in Prison
Rapper Meek Mill was preparing to drop his new album earlier, but with his violation of his probation, the album has been pushed back.
The rapper will might be in fact be in prison until October 11. Here's a report from NBC Philadelphia: "Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill pleaded to be released from jail Monday to resume his music career and support his son and 30-person entourage, but the judge who jailed him on a parole violation last month was unmoved. She ordered the 27-year-old to take anger management classes for what prosecutors called a parole office "tantrum" over travel restrictions, and a Twitter rant aimed at a parole officer and prosecutor. She also ordered Mill to take a parenting class." In a previous hearing the judge had this to say: "After all these years of me trying to help him move his career forward . . . I believe this defendant is basically thumbing his nose at me."
Even with the setback, some tracks from his upcoming album was released online which is slated to be released on September 9. The tracks "Stuntin," "Getting' Money," and "Am I Wrong" are the said tracks, which you can listen to below.
Maybach Music Group executive Rick Ross has promised that the release of Meek Mill's new album will be released as scheduled regardless of the latter's legal troubles saying, "My brother, Meek Mill ran into some unfortunate legal issues. It happens. However, his team, our team, will continue to execute Meek's plan as close to schedule as possible."
Dreams Worth More Than Money is scheduled to drop on September 9, 2014.
