'The Gunman' Movie Release Date: February 20, 2015 Confirmed; Based On 'The Prone Gunman' by Jean-Patrick Manchette
'The Gunman' movie release date is announced and is slated for release in theatres on February 20, 2015 as per the wikipedia. The upcoming movie is a complete action thriller directed by Pierre Morel (director of first Taken movie). The movie is penned by Don Macpherson and Pete Travis based upon the novel 'The Prone Gunman' originally scripted by Jean-Patrick Manchette.
'The Gunman' movie cast will star Sean Penn in lead role as Martin Terrier, a special force officer who struggles to get settled with his love but the company does not let him do so and sends him for a run in Europe where he experiences life threatening experiences. The other leading stars include Jasmine Trinca as a female lead, Javier Bardem, Ray Winstone, Idris Elba, Mark Rylance, Peter Franzen, Rachel Lascar, Jayme Swift and Mark Schardan.
'The Gunman' is an another action thriller from Silver Pictures. The producers have high hopes from the movie and expect the movie would do good business internationally. The film is handed over for production to StudioCanal and will be distributed by Open Road Films in the U.S.
Sean Penn seems to be in good shape for the stunts and action sequences. Fans are expecting a nice entertaining drama from the Taken director. Lots of shooting, guns, running and fighting is expected in the scenes.
