Nathan Best of the O'Jays and Levert Returns with a Gospel Jazz Album "Center of My Life"

After being in a successful career with the O'Jays and Levert, Nathan Best has returned to his roots in Gospel jazz music. On September 9, 2014, Nathan Best has released his contemporary gospel album Center of My Life. Nathan's velvet voice will again hit the airwaves.
Featuring eleven new songs such as Thank You, God Has a Blessing, Pharaoh, God Forgave Me, and Our Love Song, Nathan Best has this to say: "I am immersed with God Forgave Me. I feel that many people will be able to identify with the lyrics of this song, for the simple reason that, ALL of us have made mistakes in our lives." Center of My Life is packed with original gospel ballads and songs that offer contemporary jazz that bring about renewed hope and inspiration for the listener.
Nathan Best career started with voice lessons at the tender age of 3 years old in Miami. After his family moved to Cincinnati, singing in church every Sunday and touring with his family group, The Best Singers is where you could find Nathan Best. Later, Nathan and close friends, formed the New Born Light band. These groups gave Nathan a taste of Theater and Coliseum life, and he knew it was destiny. Nathan then took on the role of music director for R&B singer Miki Howard, while still singing for the R&B group:Levert. Next, came his career as a member of the O'Jays.
In 1999, Nathan returned to gospel and joined the famous group, The Fairfield Four, and the group was inducted into the Smithsonian Institute and three Halls of Fame. These honors included The Gospel Music Hall Of Fame, United In Group Association Hall of Fame, and R & B Gospel Hall of Fame. Nathan and the other members of the group have been the only African Americans ever to win Album of the Year at the Country Music Awards (2001). Nathan sang the lead vocal track along with the groupís bass singer, the late Isaac Freeman, for two songs in the hit comedy movie, Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? (which starred George Clooney and was released on December 18, 2000).
After a break from the industry while he pursued his calling to the ministry, Nathan Best returns to the Music Industry as a solo artist, armed with a tantalizing array of songs.
