Kitchen Sink Movie Release Date, Reveals, News, Spoilers and Review: Movie Shot all over Los Angeles to come out in January
Mixing horror and comedy is not as easy as it seems, just ask the directors of Scary Movie and Beetle juice, it is especially difficult if you are not Tim Burton. The movie the Kitchen Sink is Columbia Picture's attempt to bring a little comedy back into our lives. Sony Pictures Releasing shall be distributing the flick was originally set to be directed by Jonah Hill and was meant to be the movie to begin his career as a director. The Superdad actor was dropped by Columbia in favor for Robbie Pickering who is known for the movie Natural Selection.
The movie takes everything that is hot right now and rolls it into one movie. A high school aged vampire teams up with a human being and a zombie to defend their town from invading aliens. The plot sounds like a mash up of Disaster Movie; This is the End; The Walking Dead and The Watch. Clearly the comedic part shall be more outstanding but we look forward to seeing what the CGI and make up department have in store for us in this movie. Another thing we shall all be looking at is the director's interpretation of a zombie. From the slow and stumbling dead eyed creatures in Night of the Living Dead to the abnormally fast creations in World War Z and most recently the seemingly mentally capable iZombie, the zombie has gone through a number of interesting evolutionary developments. If the writers and directors will decide to use this movie to take stabs at other movies like Twilight (because, let's face it, everybody makes fun of twilight) is something we are also keen to see
Ed Westwick whom you may or may not remember from Children of Men and Gossip Girl shall be joining the cast alongside Vanessa Hudgens who we all remember from that girl who danced opposite Zac Efron in High School Musical. Other names on the cast list are Bob Odnkirk, Patton Oswalt, Ian Roberts and Joan Cusack. The movie was shot over 37 days at different locations all over Los Angeles. Kitchen Sink is coming out on the 9th of January 2015.
