With just completing a successful two seasons, Orphan Black season 3 is set to make its debut and return to screens around fall this coming year that is in 2015. The series which portrays the main character Sarah Manning who is played by actress Tatiana Maslany who has multiple clones, look-a-likes, and are caught up in troubles from their creators and also from the law enforcers. It would be a shock to learn that Tatiana plays all the roles of her as the main character and also as her clones.
Tatiana Maslany took time to praise her role as the main character and also as her clones which she says it's always a challenge to her when she finds herself juggling through the characters of her clones and as the main characters. Some of her clones include; Elizabeth Childs, Alison Hendrix, Cosima Niehaus among others. Maslany won the 2014 critics' choice award for Best Actress in a drama series for her ground breaking performance in the show.
Tatiana further revealed that each of her characters is very original and is well developed as the writing of the script was so compelling. Maslany's different characters she admits are quit challenging. It has led her to develop different personalities; nevertheless her performance is always breath taking. She revealed that the role of one of her clones forced her to learn the London accent which she said was the most challenging moreover, she added that her character/clone, Rachel is quite difficult to play because of her posture and wearing high heels is painful. The different characters are really stretching Tatiana's capabilities but she seems to be coping on well.
Tatiana also applauded the directors of the show for creating her role for this was a show that involved women taking leading roles in a big show. She was grateful that the show would let her characters shed off some cloths or even allow her to be sexy to attract viewers and improve on the ratings. She added that her hope was that women would be granted more chances to take leading roles and make it to mainstream television as the industry is mainly dominated by male actors taking lead roles.
BBC renewed the show to come back for another season and is expected to debut in 2015.
