'Beauty and the Beast' TV Series Update: Cat-Vin's Romance Blooms In 2015
After the conclusion of the second season of the CW show "Beauty and the Beast", fans are now thrilled to hear some updates regarding the show's upcoming third season. Last May 8, 2014, CW has decided to keep the television show for a third season.
"Beauty & the Beast" is an American television series, which was based from the 1987 CBS series of the same name. The show follows Catherine Chandler, a detective, who witnessed her mother's murder. The protagonist was saved by a beast from the murderers the same night of her mother's death. She meets Vincent Keller, a former soldier believed to be dead, but is actually not. Their developing connection gives enlightenment behind her mother's death and Vincent's real identity.
The cast of the hit series stars Kristin Kreuk as Catherine Cat Chandler, Jay Ryan as Vincent Keller, Nina Lisandrello as Tess Vargas, Sendhil Ramamurthy as Gabe Lowen, Brian White as Joe Bishop, Max Brown as Dr. Evan Marks, Amber Skye Noyes as Tori Windsor, and Nicole Gale Anderson as Heather Chandler.
According to TVLine, Tess Vargas will not be Catherine's partner as she joins the NYPD again. She will be partnered instead to Harris, a new character in his late twenties. Harries will not be thrilled to becoming partners with Catherine because of the latter's past. There is no official detail yet on who will be playing Harris' character.
There is more to action in "Beauty and the Beast"'s forthcoming season. The CW series' executive producer, Brad Kern, also previewed in his interview with The Hollywood Reporter what the show's fans can see and hope for from the upcoming season. "Now that we have the loyal audience, the goal is to make it more Cat-Vincent centric," Brad Kern said. "We'll continue to build the mythology. Everything else will service and work around that love," the executive producer added.
Show director Stuart Gillard announced that the filming for the upcoming third season of "Beauty and the Beast" started last August 28, according to Enstarz.
Meanwhile, the second season finale entitled "Déjà vu" aired on the CW Network last July 7. There is no official announcement yet with regards to the release date. However, it has been rumored that the third season of the show is set to premiere in January or February of 2015.
