Life after Beth DVD Release Date, Reveals, Reviews and Updates: Aubrey Plaza and Dane DeHaan Grace Movie Drama
The movie Life after Beth was released in August of 2014 and is expected on DVD on the 21st of October 2014. Despite the great plot, the movie was not able to make any money at the Box Office bringing in a paltry 174,000 dollars after the production houses pumped in 2.4 million dollars. Written and directed by Jeff Baena the movie is distributed by A24 who have distributed movies like Obvious Child, The Spectacular Now and Locke. The production houses involved are American Zoetrope, Abbolita Productions, Starstream Entertainment and XYZ Films. The fact that it is going to DVD so soon after it's theatre release is no doubt a bid to increase their takes and at least break even.
The movie is about a man who has a hard time dealing with his girlfriend's untimely death after she is bitten by a snake while on a hike. He begins to spend time with her parents and admits to her father that just before her death Beth had expressed doubt about their relationship and had wanted to see other people. Fast forward to a few days later and there seems to be a Shawn of the Dead style Zombie uprising and Beth is back however unlike most Zombies this brand takes time to develop a taste for human flesh and he spends time with Beth. When she does become the flesh eating zombie she was meant to be all along Zach, our protagonist, takes her on a hike and apologizes for not being a good boyfriend before he shoots her in the head.
The movie stars Aubrey Plaza who is set to star in the 2015 movie Mortdecai that will star Johnny Depp and also did voice work in Monster's University. Dane DeHaan takes up the role of Zach and acts alongside Molly Shannon, Cheryl Hines and Paul Reiser. If you missed the theatre release then the DVD should be a great addition to your library and a nice Saturday afternoon watch.
