'Homeland' Season 4, Episode 3: Carrie's Come Back as Shalwar Kameez, Unraveling Sandy's Death
Carrie, who is played by Claire Danes, is assigned as the station chief of CIA in Islamabad. This, after threatening expose the acts of treason by CIA director, Andrew Lockhard, played by Tracy Letts. Being the station chief of CIA is not the cushiest kind of job because Carrie does not trust the people around her and the people working for her do not like her.
She orders the security guards to pull over into the very same spot where Sandy Bechman played by Corey Stoll was killed. Trying to figure out Sandy's death she realized something, why was Sandy there at that time and very far away from the embassy?
Going back in Langley, Rupert's friend named Peter Quinn is at that time very worried. He was uneasy because of his involvement, he wanted to resign, but the problem is he can't really easily go and leave his job without undergoing some psychological investigations.
The first dramatic part is the revelation of Quinn's feeling towards Carrie. After some investigations, Quinn's feelings for Carrie can be considered one of the reasons why he wants to leave the agency. CIA Dar Adal made a phone call to Quinn's motel accusing him that Quinn's feelings are affecting his duties.
The second dramatic part is when Carrie is looking for clues and possible intentions of killing. Third was when Carrie tricked Aayan. Despite the embassy's rules and policies, these won't stop Carrie from knowing the truth. She created another group in Pakistan and including Fara Sharazi as a member. They are planning to seduce and get the attention of Aayan Ibrahim so that they can get information from him without doing something hurtful to him- a very unique and artistic way of winning Aayan and making him part of the whole story.
While Carrie is too occupied extracting information coming from the main source on Sarah's death, Fara Sherazi, who is played by Nazanin Boniadi and one of the members of Carrie's group in Pakistan, would found an exciting lead. Teasers for Episode 4 of 'Homeland' Season 4 all revolve around Sandy's death, how the team would untangle the crime, and how they would eventually solve it.
