Discipleship and worship are intrinsically intertwined together. Without discipleship, on one hand, worship becomes weighted utterances without a whiff of gravitas. Discipleship without worship, on the other hand, is nothing more than mere legalism of humans striving to serve God without being carried by the glory of God's Spirit.
moreThe Loving Kind is by no means Cindy Morgan's most successful album. Her debut album Real Life garnered her 6 GMA Dove Awards. Neither is it, her most melodious album to date. In fact, some of the songs are a little quirky in terms of their melodic structures. If one has to choose, 2006's Postcards would be this reviewer's choice for her most melodiously supreme CD to date.
moreThe Day Life Began is not precisely a Gospel like her preceding two albums were. Neither is it a booty-shaking frivolous throwaway either. Like the woman in Proverbs 31, this is a treasury of wisdom about life, God, and living coming from a wizened woman who has seen the woes and weals of the entertainment business for the last three decades

On the other hand, their band's titular is also indicative of their sound.

moreA record can be trash or a treasure: It all depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking to find a worship album with entirely familiar songs to function as your soundtrack for you to sing along with, "Live: Hymns and Worship Songs" is a treasured find.
morePassion gets reincarnated with worship leader Shelly E. Johnson's new EP Measureless. One thing you can't fault Johnson on is the spry verve she invests into every note of this 5 track EP.
moreWith fewer new releases coming out of the chute in January, it gives us licence to re-visit some of the classic Christian albums of yore. This time we return back to the year 1998. It was the year where piano-based pop was still commercially viable, albeit tethering towards its final years. Wayne Watson who has been known for his deft touches on the ivory keys of the piano was at his commercial peak.
