Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Release is near
The new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is almost in our hands. But another gadget from Samsung is soon to be released also, according to Android Central.
The new Galaxy Note Edge will be the company's high-end Galaxy Note model to be released in the market and it's expected to be with the new Galaxy Note 4 in selected regions before the end of 2014.
Few days ago, according to Gotta Be Mobile, Samsung has confirmed the first Galaxy Note Edge release date is on late October in Japan and their carrier KDDI, which is October 23. Because the release date is almost there, another Japanese carrier adds up in the heat of the competition by pushing Galaxy Note Edge to be with them later this week.
NTT DoCoMo, Japan's largest network provider, also confirmed an October 23rd Galaxy Note Edge release date. It looks like the company will follow KDDI's footsteps and offer the black version of the Galaxy Note Edge later this week with the white Galaxy Note Edge coming at some point in November. NTT DoCoMo and the KDDI will be the pioneering carriers in the whole world to have the new Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, though other carriers will join them later this year, several of which are in the United States. AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon have all confirmed the upcoming Galaxy Note Edge releases though they have not specified the specific dates when they're going to release it.
On the other hand, according to CNET, the Galaxy Note Edge release date was initially scheduled for November 5th but it has now been pushed back a week, something that is becoming a bit of a trend for Samsung's new Galaxy Notes. The Galaxy Note 4 release has also been pushed back a week in some places including the United Kingdom.
The Edge is a power-packed smartphone. As far as the key specification goes, the Note Edge will feature a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED display complemented by Quad HD+ resolution and a 2.7 GHz quad-core processor under the hood. Furthermore, the device will run on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with 4G LTE and 4G LTE Advanced (LTE Cat. 6) connectivity options on board. When it comes to camera configuration, the device will sport a 16 MP rear-facing unit with Smart OIS along with a 3.7 MP secondary shooter with f/1.9 lens.
Watch out for more updates regarding the release of the new Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.
