'HTC Nexus 9' Latest News: Unexpected Surprises, Boasts a Dual-Core 64-Bit Processor Nvidia's Tegra K Chip, Dual Core 2.3GHz Denver CPU, and a Kepler DX1 192-Core GPU
Google-HTC "Nexus 9" created a fuss among the gadget geeks as it brings unexpected surprises
The Birth of "Nexus 9": Another member of the "Nexus Family" had been made official, as Google unveiled "Nexus 9" created by "HTC".
Here's a quick specs of the "Nexus 9".
The "Nexus 9" runs the most advance "Android OS" - "Android 5.0 Lollipop" operating system, also known as "Android L". It has an 8.9 inch screen display that features a resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels or 4:3 aspect ratio. This fact interest a lot of gadget enthusiast, as we all know, Apple "iPad" also has the same aspect ratio while the other tablet providers were more into the 16:9 or 16:10. Comparing which is better, ExtremeTech has provided a very good explanation, "... 4:3 is either superior because it offers more overall real estate and better balance in the hand, or its worse becasue 16:9 content is heavily letterboxed."
The "Nexus 9" boasts a dual-core 64-bit processor Nvidia's "Tegra K" chip, dual core 2.3GHz Denver CPU, 2GB of RAM and a "Kepler DX1 192-core" GPU.
It also features an 8 megapixel rear camera and 1.6 megapixel front camera. Talking about aesthetics, height is at 8.98 inches and width is at 6.05 inches, while the thickness is at 0.31 inches and it weighs 0.93 pounds.
For the tablet accessories, we have a magnetic keyboard which is pre-designed for the unit itself, very much like the "Microsoft Surface".
As for the internal storage, there are two options, you can get either a 16gb or 32gb depending on your needs. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a micro SD card slot, so pretty much you will be stuck with its internal storage capacity.
"Nexus 9" performs just like a 2012 "Mac Pro". This new created a big fuzz among the gadget enthusiasts, as a rumor surfaced about the "Nexus 9" performance that it can be directly compared to the 2012 "Mac Pro" --- Yes! The "Nexus 9" performance is on par with the latter, basing from a report on Yahoo.
Looking into PanARMENIAN's report, "Nexus 9" achieved a 1,903 score in the Geekbench's assessment while the Apple computer got 1, 925. Just a difference of 22 points!
As the report further elaborated, The results appear to indicate that the 64-bit tablet is also close to the latest "MacBook Air" in terms of performance, with the laptop scoring just over 2,000. This is quite a feat for the "Nexus 9", give that "Mac Pro" line is geared towards professionals with high power needs - but with an NVIDIA "Tegra K1" processor and "Kepler DX11" graphics chip on board, it doesn't come as a surprise."
