'Honey Boo Boo' Canceled Amid Sex Scandal
The management network of "Honey Boo Boo" finally decided to end the show due to the report that the mother of Alana is dating a convicted sex offender.
After four seasons, TLC finally decided to cancel "Honey Boo Boo," is a spin-off of "Tiaras and Toddlers" with beauty pageant star Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson and her family in their hometown Mclntyre, Georgia. Alana's mother June Shannon came under scrutiny on October 23 when TMZ reported she was dating a man who was convicted and at the same time served time for aggravated child molestation of one of the relatives of Shannon.
According toits statement, TLC "is not currently in production of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo." We are very concerned about this new information and are reassessing the future of the series."
Though the mother of Alana denied the issue, the management network of Honey Boo Boo released a statement that states that the show had been permanently cancelled. "TLC has cancelled the series "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" as well as they ended all their activities around the series effective immediately. Supporting the welfare and health of these children is the only priority of TLC. They are also faithfully committed to the children's ongoing well being and comfort."
The fourth season of "Honey Boo Boo" aired their finale in August 2014 and they gain 1.81 million viewers. The fifth season is not yet announced. Most of the viewers of "Honey Boo Boo" are still looking forward that the show will air their fifth season in the upcoming months.
Even though the finale of season 4 is already ended, viewers can still expect that the management network of "Honey Boo Boo" will continue to make the season 5 of the reality show.
TLC also want to inform their valued viewers that they will worked hand in hand to make sure that season 5 will be completely aired in the coming months. Due to the high ratings of the finale of season 4, viewers can be sure that the management network of TLC will air their season 5 of the reality show.
