Surface Pro 3 versus the Upcoming Surface Pro 4 Comparison: Which is the Better Microsoft Hybrid?
After the success of the previous Microsoft hybrids, rumors claiming that the Surface Pro line will end has surfaced in the internet. To clear the issue, the American tech-giant officer said the PC hybrid production will continue, Breathecast reported.
Published in the main website of the Surface blog, General Manager for Surface, Brian Hall, refuted the rumors and said "We are pleased to share that the following Surface Pro 3 accessories are designed with our product roadmap in mind and will be compatible with the next generation of the 'Pro' line of Surface."
Hall's statement does not only rebuked the rumors, it also started the series of news that Microsoft has a new Surface Pro underway, which is predicted to be the anticipated fourth version of the successful label of laptop-like device that works like a personal computer.
Based on his statements, companies who widely use Surface Pro 3 will have no problem in case the new edition was launched as the two 'siblings' are almost exactly compatible. But how compatible and alike will the two Surface Pro's be? Here is a brief but comprehensive comparison of the things that you need to know according to Phone Arena, Breathecast , and Christian Today.
Primarily, Surface Pro 3 owners can retain their type cover keyboards, power, ethernet adapters, and a docking station accessory because it will also be compatible to the upcoming Surface Pro 4. On the other hand, Pro 4 is set to be superior in terms of operating system. Rumors said it will be powered by another upcoming Windows 10 while Pro 3 is still with Windows 8.1 Pro.
Both tablet-like computers will have the same 12-inch IPS LCD with 21690 x 1440 pixels with 216 ppi. Surface Pro 4 will also have the same metal body, 5MP camera, 512GB expandable memory and 8GB RAM.
In terms of connectivity, Surface Pro 4 is said to have better WiFi connection capability compared to Surface Pro 3.
Microsoft has not made any official statement yet which makes Surface Pro 4 more enticing. The upcoming prequel for Surface Pro 3 is set for a 2015 release date.
