'How I Met Your Mother' Star Ashley Williams Elated on Her New Role
"How I Met Your Mother" star Ashley Williams became a mother to a healthy baby on Oct. 5. Gus Williams Dodson, the 8lbs. baby is welcomed by her Mom and Dad, producer Neal Dodson.
A first-time mom, Ashley preferred a home birth, confident that she will survive the birthing process. Daily Mail reported that the actress, a certified doula, says that childbirth is like a hobby for her, having assisted around fifty (50) deliveries already. She also added than taking care of babies is not new to her, having hands-on experience with the sons of her sister Kimberly, a 5 year-old Jasper and seven year-old Huck. Kimberly stars in the "The Father of the Bride" and is married to Paisley.
Although it was delivered at their home, she was assisted by midwives, a chiropractor and also a doula. In the era of rapid advancements in the field of Science and Technology, it seemed that Ashley has championed the art of Alternative Medicine.
Mstarz reported that the she gave birth while tuning to Alexi Murdoch's song. The actress said, "He's gorgeous and healthy. So far he's soothable and calm. Knock on the wood!, she told People." For several years that they have waited to have a child, Ashley's excitement can hardly be contained even during the early years of pregnancy, so much so that she posted on her Twitter Account, saying, "This is for real. So many reasons to dance. #babydodson."
Ashley portrayed the role of Victoria in "How I Met Your Mother", an American sitcom aired in CBS which runs from September 2005 to March 2014. She was a Pastry Chef and a former girlfriend of Ted Mosby in Season 1 of the series, whom she met at Stuart and Claudia's wedding.
