Korean tech giant Samsung has rapidly released budget smartphones with tech advancement. Samsung S series has been widely popular with its unique design and features. To bind the high-end smartphone Samsung released the Galaxy S5 Mini that comes with excellent specification in tight budget. Let's have a quick review of the smartphone.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini was released back in July this year along with the Galaxy S5. This gadget is an excellent choice for those who want to go for the Samsung S series smartphone with mid budget. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini features 4.5-inch display that offers 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The pixel density is sharp and crispy with 326 pixels per inch along with Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display type. The display quality is balanced flawlessly with sharp pixel density in a 4.5-inch frame.
The dimension of the S5 Mini measures 131.1 x 64.8 x 9.1mm and weighs 120g. Fingerprint sensor is attached which is PayPal certified. The device is IP67 certified that contains the proof that it can survive under 1 meter underwater for 30 minutes.
The camera segment of the S5 Mini is packed with 8MP rear camera sensor whereas the Galaxy S5 contains 16MP rear camera sensor. The front facing camera remains same as the bigger version with 2.1MP sensor. Both the camera has 1080p video recording capability at 30 frames per second. Camera features include LED flash, auto focus, HDR, panorama, Geo-Tagging; touch focus with 3264 x 2448 pixels.
The hardware segment has huge change compared to its bigger version. The S5 Mini is powered by Exynos 3 chipset while the Galaxy S5 has Snapdragon 801 chipset. The processor implemented in the S5 Mini is Quad-Core 1.4GHz Cortex-A7 whereas the Galaxy S5 contains Quad-Core 2.5GHz Krait 400 processor. The GPU section performs decently with Mali-400MP4 in the Galaxy S5 Mini.
The Galaxy S5 Mini is provided by 16GB internal storage facility that can be expanded up to 64 GB by additional microSD card. The smartphone is packed with 1.5GB RAM slot. It is operated by Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
