Tom Clancy's The Division Latest Reports: One Of The Development Team's Biggest Challenge Is Figuring Out How To Tell People How Much Of An RPG Tom Clancy's The Division Is
"Tom Clancy's The Division" which is Ubisoft's Massive Multiplayer Third Person shooter, does not yet have an exact release date, except for 2015 which is meant to hint to the players about the release the developers of this game have this time decided not to reveal much information about the game until it is ready to prevent the outworldly expectations.
According to Christian Post, the art director Rodrigo Cortes spoke to IGN about the game's elusive release date and also said that they want to deliver a good game this time round. He said, "We want to show gamers the game they will end up playing. We don't want to sell a fantasy." He continued to say, "We've been persisting with our massaging about high targets and benchmarks, and we want to deliver that. Then it's about making sure people get the game we're promising so that they don't think it's something else."
It seems like Ubisoft is not only after making another third person shooter in "The Division" for the next consoles. The development team is looking to aim for the game to be full-fledged role-playing game with shooter elements. "For us, one of the biggest challenges is figuring out how to tell people how much of an RPG it is. It has shooting, and is shooter-like. If you look at it, that's the whole point as we want to be very immersive," Cortes went ahead to explain. He also adds, "But it's not a shooter with some RPG stats attacked on. It's actually a proper RPG from the very beginning. There's deep progression when it comes to loot, gear and levels and you'll be able to customize every skill, do exactly what you want, and choose roles." "So that's probably the biggest communication challenge. We want to make clear to everyone that it's an RPG."
The release date of the upcoming "Tom Clancy's The Division" has not been revealed but there are hints that the game will be released in 2015. What do you think of the upcoming game? Stay with us for more news on this and much more.
