Olivia Munn New Interview with Jimmy Fallon Shares on Adversity and Family Disappointment, Watch 'The Newsroom' Star Here (VIDEO)
Olivia Munn was in New York City on Friday (October 31) to make an appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon". If you missed her appearance live on NBC on Friday night, you can check out a clip of her interview with Jimmy Fallon above.
The 34-year-old "Newsroom" actress shared about getting to visit the White House and how she struggled with being a disappointment so her family from an early age.
Olivia is on the cover of Self magazine's November 2014 issue, where she shared about her relationship with her stepdad.
"I remember being in kindergarten and him telling me it was stupid to think I could even be an actress. He said it in a very factual way. He was like, 'You'd have to be beautiful, smart and talented. And you're not,'" Olivia shared.
She has been starring in HBO's hit series "The Newsroom" along side Jeff Daniels. Season 3 has released their latest trailer for the upcoming season and it focuses on the Boston Marathon Bombings and NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden.

"The Newsroom" was created by Aaron Sorkin and stars Jeff Daniels, Emily Mortimer, John Gallagher Jr., Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski, Dev Patel, Olivia Munn and Sam Waterston.
"The Newsroom" third and final season will be premiering next Sunday night, November 9th on HBO. The show has not come without controversy as they work on writing in scripts about what is really happening, but that is the affect that they are hoping to have with watchers. Will you be tuning in?
