Ted Winn Sets Release Date For Radio Hit "More"
Ted Winn (best known for Top 10 hits such as his 2010 solo smash "The Lifter" and 2004's "Celebrate" with the Ted & Sheri duo) is headed back to the Billboard Gospel Airplay chart with his inspiring new radio hit "More." The uplifting song of devotion is rapidly approaching the Top 30 and is scheduled to go on sale in the iTunes Store, Amazon.com, Google Play and all major digital retailers on April 21st. A lyric video of "More" is now viewable on You Tube at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4d6Cf82LRtM&feature=em-upload_owner#action=share
Lawrence Flowers & Intercession initially released "More" independently and it developed an underground audience in some church circles and via social media. A friend played the song for Winn in 2011 and he instantly connected with it. "I felt the lyrics were great, the melody was great and the message was timely," Winn recalls. "So many times we're asking God for things. We're living in a society that's heavily mired in give me, give me, give me so I wanted to convey a message about giving - something that would be different. This is telling God I want to give You more and that's not just about praise and worship and singing more or praying more. It's about giving to people more, loving people more, being a better husband, father, brother, sister, employer, employee, whatever it is and whatever capacity it's about being your best self."
The song hails from Winn's forthcoming sophomore album "Perspective" that also features a dynamic rendition of Jesus Culture's 2011 tune "Fill Me Up" that's been popularized by Casey J and Tasha Cobbs on the black church circuit. It will also hit all major digital stores this month to whet the appetites of Winn's fans until the new album releases this fall.
