Joey & Rory Feek Speak About Joey's Cancer Treatment & Their Faith

Joey Feek, one half of country Christian duo Joey + Rory's Joey Feek, has been diagnosed as having Stage IV cervical cancer. Recently, the couple opened up with regards to Joey's treatments and their emotional (and spiritual) turmoil.
In addition to surgery, Joey Feek will be using radiation and chemotherapy to treat the 9-centimeter tumor found in her colon. According to updates on the husband-and-wife duo's Facebook page, her surgery is taking place in Chicago.
"It was kind of a big shock to us. We didn't see this coming," Joey Feek told the audience at a Farmhouse Concert on July 3 (quote via Rare Country). Still, she added, "We have a lot of hope up there. You draw off of that, but more than anything, you draw off of Christ. We know that He's already paved the way for us, and He's going to take care of me, no matter what."
"We are very, very hopeful, and we're actually excited," Rory Feek said at the Farmhouse Concert. "We've got some stuff inside of her body that doesn't need to be there ..."
"God has a plan, and His plan is our plan," Rory Feek wrote when first revealing the news of Joey Feek's cancer's return. "Each day that we're given is a beautiful gift from Him to us. And while we will pray each day for a miracle, we're gonna live each day as if it's a miracle.."
"Lord, as believers ... we trust you completely and pray for your will to be done. Not ours," he continues. "But as flesh and bone, husband and wife... we pray for complete and total healing in Joey's body, so we can grow old together, holding hands in rockers on our front porch watching the sun go down. So that our sweet little baby Indiana cannot miss one precious moment with her mama."
